He has many years of involvement within commercial, local government and health & social care organisations and is passionate about supporting businesses to be as compliant as they can be within the ever changing face of data protection law.
An experienced Information Governance professional, Richard has spent the majority of his career working in data processing & privacy; supporting organisations across healthcare, charity, technology and financial service sectors. Throughout his career Richard has gained numerous accreditations and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP), NADPO & IRMS, and provides not only training in IG/Data Protection, but also offers full Data Protection & Cyber Audits for organisations nationwide.
Richard is a firm believer in engaging on an operational level and taking a risk based, pragmatic approach. He takes pride in educating & training staff, (there is a difference); providing real world, workable solutions to a wide range of challenges. Richard is a keen commentator on data protection and privacy matters and is a member of the Sussex-Wide Information Governance Group for Health & Social Care (swiGg).
